Linking Pursuits to Initiatives

Pursuits can be linked to Initiatives.

Since Initiatives have the flexibility to be broad, lengthy, and/or complex, they are not necessarily tied to any one target company. Pursuits, however, are tied to a target company. Thus, an Initiative is a logical "parent" for one or multiple Pursuits.

On the Pursuit Overview page, an Associated Initiative panel indicates if the pursuit has a link to an initiative. When there is an initiative linked to a pursuit, it displays in that panel. Unlinked pursuits indicate No associated initiative.

To link the pursuit to an initiative:

  1. Click the Link icon in the Associated Initiative panel. A list of existing initiatives appears.
  2. Select an initiative to link to the pursuit.

  3. Click Save.

When a pursuit is linked to an initiative, the initiative's name and description show in the Associated Initiative panel. You can unlink the pursuit and initiative if appropriate.
